I painted in the Basque Country, north of Spain for about a month. I walked up a hill for 40, 50 minutes or so and I painted there. I could see a church below. It was the Jesuits community church called Loiola. Francisco Xavier who brought Christianity to Japan was the cousin of Ignacio de Loiola who was the founder of the Jesuits. After a few days painting there, I noticed something marvelous. The hills around the church appeared to be whirling around it. It was just like a typhoon's whirl. It might just be a coincidence. The typhoon is up air current and the eye of the storm is down air current. In other words the energy is from the heaven to the earth.
