- Mt. Tokachi peaks in twilight - 73x53cm 2008 (Biei)
I picked up some stones at riverbanks. I looked at them in my studio. I have never got bored of looking at them since the stones have character. For example this one is quiet and calm, that one is elegant etc. The stones don't have personality so it must just be me thinking in that way. It is exactly the same with landscapes. Noble mountains. The blue sky purges my heart. Gentle sea colour at sun set. People feel these things because that is what humans are looking for and it might be reflected on the landscape.
